What the Tables Actually Look Like
Our live blackjack tables run on the main casino floor at 21777 Island Road, Port Perry, Ontario. The floor operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so the building does not really sleep. For players driving up from Toronto on a busy Friday night, it means you are not under pressure from a closing time if traffic slows you down.
We recently shifted to lower limits on several table games. Blackjack now sits at a 15 CAD minimum per hand. That level falls into a mid-stakes zone: enough to feel like real table play, but still comfortable for most recreational players. It is not a micro-stakes environment, yet the minimum usually does not feel like it belongs in a high-limit pit.
The gaming area covers around 25,000 square feet, and we run close to 60 table games in that space. Blackjack shares the room with roulette, squeeze baccarat, and a small cluster of other table titles. If your main goal is Pai Gow or craps, it is important to remember that those particular games show up here in a more limited way. The floor mix stays focused around blackjack, roulette, and baccarat on purpose.

Player reports on forums and discussion boards mention that dealers stand on soft 17, doubling is allowed on any two cards, and you can double after a split. They also describe six or eight deck shoes with penetration of around 4.5 decks out of 6. All of that comes from player feedback, not from our official rule sheets, and conditions can change from time to time. The most reliable approach is simple: when you arrive, ask at the cage or check with a floor supervisor so you know the exact rules at the specific table before you buy in.
Getting to a Table: How It Works in Practice
For a first visit, you need to bring valid government-issued photo ID. The minimum age on the floor is 19. Once you walk through the main entrance, blackjack is not hard to find at all - the layout is fairly direct, and our floor does not stretch like a huge resort complex. In practice, it usually takes just a few minutes to go from the front doors to an active table.
The basic path from the door to a seat looks something like this:
- Show your ID at the entrance so security can verify age.
- Walk onto the gaming floor and head toward the table games area.
- Look for a blackjack table with an open chair and a posted minimum that fits your plan.
- Put your cash on the felt in front of you so the dealer and cameras can see it, rather than handing it straight into the dealer’s hand.
- Wait for the current hand to finish. Then the dealer can bring you in mid-shoe if the table is open to that.
- Place your wager within the displayed limits before the dealer starts dealing cards.
- Play out your hand under the table rules: hit, stand, double, or split when allowed.
- Take any payouts, or add more cash for additional chips if your stack runs low. Tipping the dealer is always your choice, not an obligation.
If you are new to playing blackjack live, it usually helps to pause before jumping right in. Standing behind a table for a few hands gives you a feel for how quickly decisions are made and how other players behave. That real pace can be different from practicing on an app or looking at a strategy chart alone.
Weekends do change the mood. Friday and Saturday evenings pull more people into the lower-limit games, so open chairs at the 15 CAD minimum can get scarce. Coming out earlier in the day or choosing a weekday trip generally makes it easier to find a seat at the stake level you prefer.
